Booking Terms & Conditions:

Booking Advice:
Please ensure that you get in touch with us if you have a large group. Please note that most of our activities and courses have a “season”. This is usually early Spring to late Autumn but an exact date is impossible to determine in advance as it comes down to the seasonal weather we are experiencing. Some of our activities have shorter seasons than others. Please get in touch for more accurate dates.

How to Book:
You can book online via our website. If you are a single person wishing to book, you must contact us first via email/’phone to check there is an activity you can join. We need a minimum of two people booked in to run the activity. If you have a large group or the activity you wish to do is not showing online, contact us as we may be able to help. Please note that to secure your place on an activity a non refundable deposit or full payment is required. The total fee is due no later than 14 days prior to the activity start date. Once you have paid in full we do not offer a refund/a change of date for whatever reason unless we cancel the activity. For this reason we highly recommend you arrange your own insurance to cover you in the event you need to cancel your booking.

All Participants Must:

At the booking stage:

  • Inform/advise us of any medical condition
  • Inform/advise us of any disability
  • Inform/advise us of any mental health issue
  • Ensure you are fit enough to partake in the chosen activity
  • Ensure that you meet the weight/measurement restrictions 
  • Ensure you have the correct experience (activity dependant)
  • Ensure you can understand English (for safety reasons)
  • Ensure you have transport arrangements
  • Approached your GP about whether or not you and fit and well enough to partake (if necessary)
  • Ensure you are confident in water or at height (depending on activity chosen)
  • Pay the deposit/pay in full

Prior to the activity:

  • Inform us of sizes (if we have asked) so we can bring the correct kit
  • Give us a contact number in case we have to cancel and can do so with enough notice to ring you (not always possible).
  • Inform all participants in your group of arrangements, terms & conditions restrictions and what to bring etc
  • Settle the balance 14 days before the activity date

On the day:

  • Bring ALL the kit on the list provided on the email/webpage
  • Bring any personal medication
  • Not turn up under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Must adhere to instructions given by the instructor and act in a civil manner with respect to the environment and others in it
  • Turn up on time
  • Sign/complete the risk acceptance form

Activity Restrictions

Age restrictions

Each individual activity has it’s own minimum age restriction and this information can be found on each activity page. Some locations are suitable for 9 years plus, some are adults only. There is no upper age limit. All under 18s must be accompanied by their own parent/legal guardian.

Health restrictions

You must be reasonably fit to take part in our activities. Some more than others. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns. We recommend you do not book if you have a heart condition, are pregnant or have any past or present medical condition that will make participating unsafe.

Size/weight restrictions

Your waist/hips cannot exceed 46″ or you will not fit the safety equipment. The wetsuits fit up to a XXL/size 18. Generally speaking anyone exceeding 18 stone is unlikely to fit the harness/wetsuit- but if you fit the harness measurement  above you will fit the wetsuit.

 

Cancellation Terms and Conditions

If you cancel your booking within 14 days of the activity date, you will lose your payment. If you give more than 14 days notice you will lose the deposit payment (this also applies if you have chosen to pay in full at the time of booking). We recommend you take out your own insurance to cover you in this instance.

Refundable situations

If we (Crags Adventures) cancel the activity for any reason we will fully refund you any monies paid. We are not responsible for any travel/ accommodation costs etc that you may have incurred.

Non refundable situations

We reserve the right to cancel or terminate the activity without notice nor refund for the following reasons:

If we have not received your full payment within the 14 days.

If we have not been informed of any medical issues in advance.

If you do not understand English (for safety instructions during the activity)

If you do not adhere to the instructions given to you by the instructor.

If you turn up late/fail to turn up.

If you refuse to fill in the risk acceptance form

If you do not bring the correct kit as requested in the Activity Info Sheet which is attached to your booking confirmation.

If you arrive under the influence of drugs/alcohol or anything else that that affects the safety of the group.

Voucher Terms & Conditions:

All the T&Cs above along with the following must be adhered to:

Voucher timescale

Vouchers are valid for 18 months and must be used by the expiry date- not just booked in.

A voucher is not automatic acceptance onto an activity. Our standard T&Cs still apply. 

Booking

Once you have booked in using your voucher, it is classed as spent and our normal T&Cs apply regarding cancellations.

Vouchers can never be exchanged for cash. If an activity is cancelled (eg unsafe water levels) we will rebook you in at a date to suit, even if this falls outside the expiry date of the voucher.
